Homework and News - Week of September 25, 2017

“Meeting Challenges” - Question of the week - How do we face personal challenges?

Dear parents / guardians, I hope everyone enjoyed a lovely weekend! In math, students are adding, subtracting, and multiplying decimals! In literacy they will read a biography about Satchel Paige a talented African American baseball player around 1920-1940. A highlight of our week was when our class biked around the neighborhood! We missed reading with our buddies in first grade when we needed to leave school early due to plumbing problems. Homework Club begins - Monday, Wednesday & Thursday from 3:00 to 4:00. Students in grades 4/5/6 will walk (bus if it rains) to the Latchis to attend the Brattleboro Literary Festival on Friday, October 13th at 10:00 to see author Avi. Feel free to email or call with questions or concerns. I look forward to seeing you at Open House on Thursday, 5:30 to 6:30! Book Fair is 9-27 to 9-29! Sincerely, Karen DiIorio-Bowen, kdiiorio-bowen@wsesu.org
